- JAMES FLORA, father of Mrs. Billmeyer, was bom in Montour county. He followed farming for a number of years, and later engaged in the hotel business at Mausdale, that county, maintaining a high reputation for integrity and strict management. His wife, Sarah A. (Smith), was the daughter of John Smith, and they are buried in the Odd Fellows cemetery, at Danville, Pa. They were the parents of seven children: Jane E., Sallie, Mary C., William C., Hannah, Caroline and one that died young. The family are Lutherans in religious belief.
