Home of William Gotwald Strine 522 S Front Street
William Gotwald Strine lived here in 1930 with his wife Rosa Ada (Zong) and daughter Dorothy. He operated a filling station and small store, as can be seen in the picture. The home was located on property formerly owned by Mathias Strine, a builder of canal boats in Milton. The stack of the Milton Electric Light Company can be seen above the house. The train is on the Philadelphia & Reading line, which crosses the river behind the house. Photo courtesy of Scott Strine
